It is a Great Idea to have several resumes that coordinates with each Job that you are applying for.
Tips
- If you are applying for a Receptionist Job, Only list your skills that relates to Reception Work.
- The Objective in your Resume should be changed depending on what you are looking for in that company. A fast pace environment, Advancement, Team work, etc..
- Have a Long and Short Version of your resume. Always fax, email or hand deliver the short version of your resume (Employers are receiving hundreds of resumes each day & doesn't have time to read through all of them). Take a copy of the Long Version during your Interview. That way the Employer can see all your talents, even if they are not related.
- Keep your Resume Fresh & Updated with the latest terms and Job Titles. For instance, EMR is called EHR now. MSDS is SDS now.
- Carry your Resume in a Clear Sleeve and Present it to the Interviewer. Keep one for yourself as a reference.
